Fields:Industrial Economics: Theory and Policy; Digital Economy and Modern Industrial System

Professor Bai is a Ph.D. supervisor, Vice-Dean of the College of Economic and Social Development at Nankai University, and the Director of the China Federation of Industrial Economics.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Nankai University (1990-1994), a Master of Economics degree from the Economic Research Institute at Nankai University (1994-1997), and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Department of International Economics and Trade at Nankai University (1997-2000). She has taught at the Institute of Transportation, Nankai University since 1997. She was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2001 and in 2008, she was promoted to the rank of Professor.

She has been engaged in teaching and research work on industrial economics. Her main research areas include industrial development and industrial policy, digital economy and modern industrial systems, innovation and efficiency, and Japanese economic and industrial development.

Over the last few years, Professor Bai has published five monographs about industrial rconomics and more than 100 CSSCI journal papers. Among them, nearly twenty papers were replicated by the National People’s Congress (NPC).

She completed nearly 20 research reports on industrial planning, regional industry analysis and industrial development strategy working jointly with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, Tianjin, Binhai New Area, Hebei, Hainan, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Guizhou and other central and local government departments. Most of these reports have received excellent comments from provincial and ministerial leaders. She has obtained awards from the Ministry of Education, Tianjin Municipality, and Nankai University.
