Jianhua Xiao is a Professor of Logistics at Nankai University. He holds a Ph.D. in system engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, in 2008. He joined the Nankai faculty in 2008. His research focuses on logistics system optimization and bio-inspired algorithms, especially on optimization of large-scale urban logistics, based on the data-driven approaches. He has published five books and about fifty papers in SCI journals. In additional to the academic research endeavors, he has also been following the logistics development in China with a group of colleagues at the Research Center of Logistics.
