The Master of Industrial Economics program aims to train students to master the basic theories and main methods of industrial economics and to have the ability to solve real industrial economic problems.
a. Technological innovation and industrial upgrades under the digital economy
Researches the laws of operation of the digital economy; technological innovation under the conditions of the digital economy; digital economy and transformation and upgrading of manufacturing and service industries; and government industrial policies in the digital economy.
b. Digitalization and industrial organization
Studies the transformation of industrial organizations in the digital era; changes in corporate behavior and competitive strategy in the digital era; and the impact of digitalization on industrial organization theory.
c. Government regulation and platform anti-monopoly
Researches the basic theory and methods of government regulation; monopoly and anti-monopoly of platform enterprises under the conditions of the digital economy; and ideas and trends in government regulation reform.
d. Industrial analysis and efficiency
Studies the efficiency, productivity and technological progress of enterprises, organisations and industries using data envelopment analysis and stochastic boundary analysis as the main research tools. Analysis will focus on the fields of resources, energy and environment; medical care and general health; and the service industry and economy.
e. Transport economics
Research topics include the application of economic theories and methods in the field of transportation, including the relationship between transportation and the national economy, regional economies and urban economies; the relationship between transportation and the global industrial chain; the economic characteristics of the transportation industry and the laws of development of the comprehensive transportation system; and transportation related policy design.
f. AI and high-quality industrial development
This field mainly studies the characteristics and laws of AI development; the impact of AI on industrial development; and the characteristics and operation of the AI industry.
