The 2021 National Logistics Statistics Symposium was held in Beijing last week. Relevant authorities from the Economic Regulation Bureau of the National Development and Reform Commission, the National Bureau of Statistics and the China Logistics Information Center attended the event and delivered speeches.
More than 300 attendees from leading departments and industry associations all over the country took part in both online and offline versions of the symposium.
The Modern Logistics Research Center of Nankai University has been undertaking a very important role in Tianjin, and also carrying out logistics operation analysis and index calculations needed for decision-making. During the symposium, the Modern Logistics Research Center was awarded the title of “2021 Logistics Statistics Outstanding work unit”. Nankai was one of the only two universities in the country to receive this honor in 2022. Associate Professor Wang Ling was also awarded the title of “2021 Outstanding Staff”.
Logistics statistics are a key factor to promote high-quality development of logistics. In recent years, the Modern Logistics Research Center, as a national think tank, has undertaken important projects from the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, as well as several municipal organizations.
