The 3rd China Regional Economists Forum was held this weekend

Nankai University and its College of Economic and Social Development and “Economic Research” magazine are the two institutions that initiated the China Regional Economist Forum. The third edition of this event was also co-sponsored by Peking University, Renmin University of China, the University of International Business and Economics, Lanzhou University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Sun Yat-Sen University. The forum was held on September 25, 2021, at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics campus.
The conference provides a high-level academic exchange platform for regional economics, attracting many researchers from the best universities in China. On this occasion, more than 300 people participated in online and offline events.
The speakers discussed regional economic research, new development patterns, regional coordinated development, regional economic growth as well as other topics. Professor Liu Binglian, Dean of the Economic and Social Development, gave a keynote speech entitled “New Development Patterns and Regional Economics Research Trends.” The attendees showed particular interest in the topic.
