From July 2nd to 3rd, the first edition of the Xiangzhang Economics Seminar, co-sponsored by the "Xianzhang Economic Academic Circle, and the College of Economic and Social Development, as successfully held at Nankai University.
The Xianzhang Economic Academic Circle is a new media platform related to Economics that has an important influence on China and the Chinese community globally. More than 140,000 people are currently following its Official Account.
Since its establishment in 2008, the Xianzhang Economic Academic Circle has promoted several academic exchanges in China, such as annual conferences, seminars, and forums. Its seminars have been regularly held in Beijing, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Nanjing, Jinan, Chongqing, Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Hefei, Changsha, Tianjin, as well as other parts of China. These activities have helped the exchange of experts all around China and the development of Economics.
The main theme of the seminar was "Urban and Regional Economics." Among the attendees (nearly 500 scholars), it received the support of well-known journals as "World Economy," "Quantitative Economics and Technical Economics Research," "Nankai Economics Research." "Economic Trends," "Economics and Management Research," "Urban and Environmental Research," and "Industrial Economic Review."
On July 3rd, paper reports were delivered at the seminar. The participants had a lively discussion on topics related to regional economic policy evaluation, urban environment, interregional trade, residential land supply, and others.
