On May 11th, as a part of a series of lectures organized by China-REAL, Professor Guo Chonghui, Director of the Center for Big Data and Intelligent Decision Research of Dalian University of Technology and Director of the College of Systems Engineering, delivered the lecture "The Engine of Digital Economy: Big Data and Artificial Intelligence ".

Professor Guo started his academic report describing the historical background of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. He also narrated the impact of these two aspects on the digital economy, smart management, and talent training. At the end of his presentation, Professor Guo explained data mining and machine learning and their applications on smart public transportation, health and medicine, and education.
Professors Guo's lectures are well known for being very informative. The attendees (teachers and students) stated that they have deepened their knowledge and understanding of Big Data and artificial intelligence.
