Professor Li Lanbing, Vice Dean of the College of Economic and Social Development, hosted the ceremony. During her speech, Professor Li welcomed all the freshmen and introduced the teaching staff who also attended the event.

On behalf of the College of Economic and Social Development faculty, Vice Dean Bai Xuejie also welcomed the students. For this cohort of a total of 40 students, two of them are international students. Bai spoke about the challenges of education during the epidemic and the great work done here in China. After that, Professor Bai explained in detail the work philosophy, the main achievements, and the many disciplines researched in our College. Professor Bai urged everyone to cherish their time in the Balitai Campus during the next 2-3 years. She stated the importance of academic studies and making friends, and encounter new challenges in the process. Vice Dean Bai shared some of her life insights. In more than 20 years of working life, her motivation was not around money or prestige, but to fight on the front line of research and development.

Professors Du Chuangzhong, Zhou Mi, Xiao Jianhua were also present and delivered speeches at the ceremony.
