During October 9 and October 10, Professor Wang Yingjun from the Enterprise Research Center of our College and his research team visited one of the worls’s top 500 companies and one of the world largest cotton enterprise: the Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group. Its headquearters are located in Zouping Country, a part of Binzhou City in the Province of Shandong.

Huang Pingyi, Vice General Manager of the company welcomed the visit of the research team and introduced the last developments of the company during the last years. He emphazised the importance of sustainable production, precision and efficiency of the textile production line, as well as the use of modern technology and a strict control of the entire process of transportation and logistics. Professor Wang Yingjun and the research team visited the Exhibition Hall, the Research and Development Center and the workshop. Professor Pang Ruizhi, director of the Enterprise Research Center gave some suggestions regarding the R&D area and digital transformation and upgrading.

Professor Wang Yingjun congratulated the contributions made by Weiqiao Pioneering Group in terms of leading the development of the textile and aluminum industries, allowing the economic and social development of the area.
