The Affiliated Hospital of Jiangsu University sent more experts to Huangshi

On the afternoon of February 20, the eighth batch of the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangsu University flew to Hubei to support the local medical treatment of patients with COVID-19. Xing Hu, Section Chief of the Infection Management Department of the above-mentioned hospital rushed to Huangshi. He was sent to work with the first-line medical units and to carry on training and guidance to medical staff. From January 26 to now, Xing has been one of the 17 experts sent by the hospital to assist in Hubei.

He is responsible for the infection monitoring, prevention and control. In addition to this, he analyzes, collects, sort and summarize risk factors of nosocomial infections. He is also in charge for the training and evaluation of the hospital staff in all fronts. Disinfection, use of protective clothes and the disposal of medical wastes are also tasks under his supervision. Because of this, since the start of the epidemic, Xing barely sleeps and he did not take any day off.

In the battle against the COVID-19, hospital work is a top priority. Prevent medical staff from being infected at work became one of Xing’s major worries.

“I have prepared a work plan in Huangshi, I will do my utmost to protect the safety of doctors and patients”, said Xing. He thinks since the epidemic situation is severe, the prevention and control are critical tasks.
