On November 1st and 2nd, the academic meeting of the China Industrial Economics Association was hosted by Fuzhou University. On this occasion, the forum “70 years of Chinese Industry (1949-2019) was also held. Both events took place in the Fujian Hall of the above-mentioned university.
More than 350 scholars from more than 100 universities, research institutes, and top journals attended the annual meeting. Du Chuanzhong, Liu Weilin, Pang Ruizhi, and Gu Lingjun attended the meeting on behalf of our college and the Institute of Industrial Economic.
Professor Du Chuanzhong, director of the Institute of Industrial Economics of our college is also the vice-director of the China Industrial Economic Association and director of the Industrial Development Committee. He introduced to the attendance a report of the work done by the Committee in 2019.
On the second day, Professor Du presided over the academic exchanges of the sub-forum of “Corporate Governance and Manufacturing Transformation”.
Professor Pang submitted a paper entitled “A new probe into the theory of market power and welfare loss: the effective market power hypothesis under the SCP paradigm”, which won the third prize.
