On October 11, Professor Chen Wenling, chief economist of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, visited Nankai as a guest of the “100th Anniversary Nankai Forum”. The event, hosted by our College, included an academic report delivered by Professor Chen.
Professor Chen gave an extensive introduction to the Sino-Us relations, which was well received by the faculty and the students. The report brought by Professor Chen not only deepened the understanding of Sino-US relations but also inspired both teachers and students on their future research work.
Professor Chen Wenling is a famous economist in China. For three consecutive years, she has been considered as one of the most influential scholars in the Big Data Center research of the “Belt and Road” program. She was awarded the first and the second prize of the National Development and Reform Commission. In 2018, Professor Chen was granted with the award of “China Think Tank Leader” by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Economic Daily.
