Opening Ceremony - Group 24 of the Master of Hospital Administration


On the morning of November 22nd, the opening ceremony for the students of Group 24 of our MHA program was held in the lecture hall of the Comprehensive Experimental Building of Nankai University.


Arthur Van Deth, Professor at the Flinders University’s School of Medicine and Public Health, Professor  Alison Hughes, Wang Wei, Vice Dean Graduate Associate Dean at Nankai University as well as other teachers from the joint project and 82 students attended the ceremony.


In this opportunity, the opening ceremony was hosted by Mr. Su Mingui, Assistant to the Dean of our College. Professor Van Deth and Professor Wang delivered speeches on behalf of the two universities. Both professors said that they hope students can make the most of the next two years while improving their professional skills in order to meet the requirements of the current medical reform in China. Guo Nengrui, Chairman of the First Hospital of Yuncheng, Shanxi, spoke on behalf of his classmates. In his speech, he encouraged other students to become professional leaders in the hospital industry. After the ceremony, the students attended the first course of their careers.


Our College has cooperated with Flinders University for many years. Both institutions created the MAIRET program in 2000, the MHA program in 2003 and the MELM in 2012. These programs have trained more than five thousand students from all over the country. Thanks to the joint efforts of both parties, the programs have been constantly improved during these years. The Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the Australian Ministry of Education have listed our cooperation program as one of the best in China.
