China’s “New Era” Economics Frontiers Forum successfully held on February 4th


On February 4th, the College of Economic and Social Development held the “China’s New Era Economic Frontiers” forum and the Alumni Annual Meeting at the main hall of the Oriental Arts Building.

Zhu Guanglei, vice-president of Nankai University and one of the attendants, said in his speech that Nankai had given its first steps in the development of the Double First-Class University Plan (双一流). He believes that the years to come will be prosperous for Nankai, and the contribution of the CESD Alumni to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integration plan will help to accomplish the Chinese Dream and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Professor Bi Jiyao, famous economist and vice-president of the China Macroeconomics Research Institute, delivered a presentation about “Current Macroeconomic Situation and Policy Orientation,” which offered a broader view of China’s Macroeconomic policy research to the attendants.

Professor Jia Kang, chief economist and former Dean of the China Academy of New Supply-side Economics presented a keynote speech about the cognitive framework of the Supply-Side reform.
Other experts who also participated in the event have discussed hot issues on Urban Economy, Regional Economy, New Economic Geography and Spatial Economy.
