On December 4, 2017, Prof. Bao Zhiming, Director of the China Data Center at the University of Michigan, visited Nankai University and its Regional Economic Applications Laboratory (China REAL) located in the College of Economic and Social Development. He praised the achievements reached by the laboratory and provided some technical suggestions for the development of the experimental platform.

In addition, Professor Bao gave a brief introduction of the history of the China Data Center at the University of Michigan, as well as some details of the database construction and the actual use of the platform.

Through this exchange, both sides have made clear their intention of a further cooperation in the construction of the laboratory platform, a joint post-doctoral training center, and the scholar exchanges which will contribute to expand the China REAL’s cooperation network.
