On November 9, 2017, the Opening Ceremony for the 26th group of the Master of Arts -International Relations in Economy and Trade (MAIRET) was held in the Lecture Room of the Baling Building at Nankai University’s Balitai Campus.

Minghui Su, Assistant to the Dean of the College of Economic and Social Development, presided  the ceremony and Peter Lennox, Project Leader of the MAIRET program, participated on behalf of Flinders University. Associate Professor Ping Shu, Coordinator of the MAIRET program, Wei Wang, Vice President of Nankai University’s Graduate School and more than 100 students were also present at the event.

Professor Peter Lennox and Wei Wang delivered a speech, encouraging the students and wishing them best of luck in this process. Ren Qiang, vice-president of the Datang Xishi Investment Group, spoke on behalf of the students, making a commitment to cherish this opportunity and hoping to acquire more knowledge and develop their capacities and faculties.

After the ceremony, the students attended a lesson, which was their first step in this new experience.
