The 8th Opening Ceremony of the Sino-Australian Program MELM (Master of Educational Leadership and Management) was held by Nankai University on November 2nd, 2017 at the Main Hall of the College of Foreign Languages. The ceremony was presided by Li Li, Director of the Academic Exchange Office. Professor Michael Bell, Program Coordinator and Ms. Allisa Zhao, Program Administrator attended on behalf of Flinders University. Bai Xuejie, Vice-Dean of the College of Economic and Social Development as well as other professors and students were also present.

Both Professor Bell and Professor Bai gave a welcome speech, wishing the best for the newly enrolled students. Yang Junxiong, President of the Yunnan Industry and Commerce Institute, spoke on behalf of the students.

After the ceremony, Ms. Allisa Zhao gave a brief presentation about the current situation of Flinders University.  Subsequently, the students started the first class of period.
On November 3rd, Professor Wang Yingjun, Director of the Academic Committee delivered a lecture about General Education.
