Professor Zeng Daozhi was invited by Nankai University and the College of Economic and Social Development to give an academic lecture to our teachers and students. Zeng Daozhi is currently a professor at the Tokuhu University in Japan and has been committed to research in Spatial Economics and the game theory. His research had significant influence in the field of international economics and has been published in top economic journals such as Economic Theory, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Urban Economics, Journal of Economic Geography, Journal of Regional Science among others.
On July 6, Professor Zeng presented his lecture titled “The Frontier of Spatial Economics: The role of Capital Elements”, the Dean of our College, Liu Binglian, has presided the presentation. Teachers and students from Nankai University and other institutions listened to the lecture.
Professor Zeng provided excellent perspectives and guidelines for our students and teachers. During his lecture, he introduced the factor endowments of the Heckscher-Ohlin’s theory, describing some aspects on the balance of the supply and demand and the local market effect.
Professor Zeng’s visit has set a good foundation for further cooperation between Nankai University and Tokohu University.
