On June 20th, the International Symposium on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship: New Vision on the Sino-Australian cooperation” was held at Nankai University. This seminar was co-sponsored by Nankai University and Flinders University of Australia.
The main topic of the talks was the development of global innovation and entrepreneurship, but the seminar was mainly focused on the issues between China and Australia regarding this topic. As a result
Sean Starmer, Counsellor (Science and Industry) of the Australian Embassy in China, Stephen Gerlach, Chancellor of Flinders University, Colin Sterling, Vice-Chancellor of Flinders University, Li Haijian, President of the China Industrials Economics magazine and academic leaders of many domestic universities attended the meeting and delivered speeches.
More than 20 Chinese and foreign experts have exchanged their views on innovation and discussed topics such as craftsmanship, innovation policy, and entrepreneurial development.
The seminar has shown its practical significance and helped to enhance the long-term cooperation strategy between universities.
