10th Anniversary Forum on Coordinated Development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Held at Nankai University

On February 23, 2024, the 10th Anniversary Forum on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development was held in Tianjin. Experts and scholars from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei gathered to review the achievements of a decade of coordinated development in the region and to offer recommendations and proposals for its future growth and development.

The forum was organized by the Tianjin Municipal Government, Nankai University, and the Tianjin Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and hosted by the Nankai University Institute of Modernization with Chinese Characteristics, the Nankai University Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Research Institute, the Tianjin Federation of Social Science Circles, and the Tianjin Research Center for Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.

Shen Lei, Minister of the Tianjin Municipal Government; Chen Yulu, President of Nankai University; and Zhou Yiren, Director of the Institute of Land Development and Regional Economics at the National Development and Reform Commission, attended the forum and delivered speeches.

At the forum, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Report 2024 and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Nankai Index 2024, compiled by the team from Nankai University's Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Research Institute, were released. These reports provided a ten-year summary and future outlook on the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The event also featured the launch ceremony of Nankai University’s Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Big Data Platform. This platform aggregates vast data resources, offering researchers convenient and efficient data support.

In the afternoon, an expert forum was held at the Haibing Building on Nankai University's Balitai Campus, where scholars, experts, and policymakers engaged in academic discussions related to the development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

The attending guests unveiled the newly released books, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Report 2024and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Nankai Index 2024.
