Nankai University's Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Research Institute Recognized as a High-End Think Tank in Tianjin

Recently, the Tianjin Philosophy and Social Sciences Leading Group Office announced the first batch of high-end think tanks in Tianjin. A total of 10 think tanks across the city were recognized as the first high-end think tanks, and 15 were designated as high-end cultivation think tanks. The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Research Institute at Nankai University was honored as one of the first high-end think tanks in Tianjin.

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Research Institute, part of Nankai University’s Economic and Social Development Research Institute, has consistently adhered to the university’s motto of "knowing China, serving China." Through its dedicated research efforts, the institute has produced a series of impactful and representative studies, contributing significantly to societal progress and policy-making.

Since its establishment, the institute has achieved numerous accolades:

  • 2016: Selected as one of the first source think tanks in the "China Think Tank Index      (CTTI)" and recognized as one of the inaugural university think tanks      in Tianjin.

  • 2017: Included in the "Core Think Tank List for Comprehensive Evaluation of Chinese      Think Tanks" and ranked as a Class A think tank among universities in      the field of economics—the only such unit in Tianjin.

  • 2018: Named one of the "CTTI Top 100 University Think Tanks" and rated as an      "A" grade institution.

  • 2022: Reaffirmed as one of the top 100 university think tanks in the CTTI, with an upgraded      rating from A to A+.

  • October 2023: Selected as a member unit of the Tianjin Think Tank Alliance.

These accomplishments underscore the institute’s role as a crucial contributor to academic and policy research, further enhancing its influence and reputation both locally and nationally.
