Recently, Contemporary Logistics in China: 20 Years of Progress and Achievement, edited by the Modern Logistics Research Center at Nankai University and published by the world-renowned academic publisher Springer, was officially released globally. This report is the first and only English-language publication on the development of China's logistics industry to be distributed internationally. To date, 13 volumes have been published, with over 100,000 downloads.
The report has been collected by prestigious international research institutions such as Stanford University, Yale University, Cambridge University, the National Library of Australia, the National University of Singapore, and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It serves as an important reference for the European Union in its research on China's logistics industry. For several consecutive years, the report has been featured at the annual conference of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) through invited presentations. The report has received high praise from prominent scholars and industry leaders, including Rick Blasgen, Chairman and CEO of CSCMP; John Langley, Editor of the Third-Party Logistics Study and Professor at Pennsylvania State University; and Britta Gammelgaard, Associate Editor of the Journal of Business Logistics and Professor at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.
In September 2023, the report was presented at the annual conference of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in the United Kingdom. It received high praise from international scholars, including Alan McKinnon, Chair of the World Economic Forum's Logistics and Supply Chain Council, Chair of the EU Horizon 2020 Research Project Advisory Board, and Head of the Logistics Department at Kühne Logistics University in Germany; and Edward Sweeney, Conference Chair and Deputy Dean of Edinburgh Business School.
For 21 consecutive years, the Modern Logistics Research Center at Nankai University has published the annual China Modern Logistics Development Report (Chinese edition). The report, comprising nearly 6 million words, has been distributed in nearly 50,000 copies and cited 15,000 times. Its research findings have been repeatedly adopted and acknowledged by the National Development and Reform Commission and other government departments.
