Graduate Student from Our Institute Wins First Prize for Outstanding Paper at the 2024 China Logistics Academic Conference

From November 15 to 17, 2024, the 23rd China Logistics Academic Conference was held in Langfang, Hebei. The event brought together over 1,400 participants, including leaders, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and representatives from academia and research institutions across 30 provinces, regions, and municipalities in China, covering various sectors of logistics.

Ph.D. candidate Liu Xiaoyang and Master's student Liu Tao from our institute's Logistics discipline were awarded the First Prize for Outstanding Paper at the 2024 China Logistics Academic Conference for their paper titled *"The Electric Vehicle Routing Problem with Synchronized Mobile Partial Recharging and Non-Strict Waiting Strategy."* Nankai University was the primary affiliation for the paper, with collaborators including their advisor, Professor Xiao Jianhua, and young faculty member Dr. Li Na.

It is reported that a total of 1,316 papers were submitted for evaluation at the 2024 China Logistics Academic Conference. Following expert review and online public announcements, 576 papers were selected for awards, including only 9 first-prize winners, accounting for just 0.7% of all submissions.

Our institute's Logistics discipline boasts the only doctoral program in "Logistics Studies" in China. Over more than 20 years of rapid development, it has established a comprehensive three-in-one training system that integrates logistics economics, logistics management, and logistics engineering, with a distinctive focus on interdisciplinary integration and mutual support among these fields.

The discipline emphasizes the synergy between teaching and research, achieving notable accolades such as the First Prize for Excellent Teaching Achievements in Professional Engineering Degrees from Tianjin Municipality, the Second Prize for Excellent Teaching Achievements from Tianjin Municipality, and the Special Prize for Teaching Achievements from Nankai University.
