To enrich the extracurricular lives of alumni, faculty, and students, foster communication and friendships, and carry forward Nankai University's esteemed sports tradition, the Economics and Development Institute recently hosted its second annual Badminton Tournament.
The tournament featured five categories: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Full-time and part-time master's and doctoral students, faculty, and alumni enthusiastically participated, with over 50 matches showcasing the institute's spirit of determination and perseverance.
On the court, players gave their all, sweating and striving for victory. After three days of intense and exciting competition, 8 outstanding individual players won singles awards, while 12 well-coordinated doubles teams claimed titles in their respective categories.
As the saying goes, "No sports, no youth. No sports, no Nankai." The institute will continue to organize more cultural and sports activities to promote Nankai's athletic spirit of "Strengthening the nation starts with strengthening the people, and strengthening the people begins with fitness." These events aim to foster students' interest in sports, build resilience, and enhance physical well-being.
