Recently, the Tianjin Municipal Development and Reform Commission sent a letter of appreciation to the Nankai University Institute for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development, expressing sincere thanks to Professors Liu Binglian, Li Lanbing, Zhou Mi, and Zhang Gui for their intellectual contributions to the region’s coordinated development efforts. The commission also expressed its desire to further strengthen cooperation with our institute and jointly advance deeper and more effective implementation of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy.
Over the past decade, our institute’s regional economics discipline has been deeply engaged in serving major national strategies. In support of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei initiative, our scholars have leveraged their expertise to conduct forward-looking and targeted research, offering practical and actionable policy recommendations, many of which have been adopted by relevant government departments.
Our regional economics team also actively supports local economic development. We have delivered dozens of training sessions for municipal officials on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development, organized major conferences for topic discussions and in-depth research, and promoted research outcomes through major newspapers, journals, and national media platforms such as CCTV.
In the new year, our institute remains committed to supporting this key national strategy, further enhancing our role as a university think tank, and contributing to the high-quality economic and social development of the region.
