Our Institute has Released the Annual English Report on the Development of China’s Logistics Industry Globally for 15 Consecutive Years.

Recently, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Academic Annual Conference was held in Sheffield, United Kingdom. The research team from the Modern Logistics Research Center of our institute was invited to attend and presented the English edition of theReport on the Development of Modern Logistics in China, edited by the center’s team and exclusively published worldwide by the renowned international publisher Springer. The report attracted wide attention and received high praise from participating international scholars.

This report is a key publication on the development of China’s logistics industry for international audiences and has become an important landmark achievement of Nankai University in aligning its logistics discipline with world-class academic development and contributing to the construction of national high-end think tanks. Since its first publication in 2011, 15 consecutive volumes have been released, with total global downloads exceeding 120,000. For many years, it has been presented at leading international industry and academic conferences such as the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) in the United States and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in the United Kingdom.

The report has been collected by world-renowned institutions including Harvard University, Stanford University, Yale University, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and the National Library of Australia. It serves as an important window and platform for the global community to understand China’s logistics market and policies.

During their stay in the UK, Associate Professor Liu Jun and Postdoctoral Fellow Yu Hang from the Modern Logistics Research Center of our institute also participated in the Third International Conference on Operations and Supply Chain Management. They engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions with internationally renowned scholars, including Professor Suresh Sethi, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and professor at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD); Professor Xiong Yu, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Surrey; and Professor Lenny Koh, former Dean of the Sheffield University Business School.

The discussions covered topics such as the English-language logistics report, the digital transformation of global logistics systems, and innovations in smart supply chains.
