Recently, the College of Economic and Social Development successfully held the 3rd Badminton Tournament.

The tournament included five events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles, attracting more than 30 on-campus master's and doctoral students and alumni to actively participate, and staging 40 wonderful matches. Before the tournament, the players responded positively and enthusiastically, and successively met at the badminton hall to practice skills and refine tactics; at the tournament site, everyone was in high spirits and full of vitality. The delicate drop shots at the net and the accurate and powerful smashes from the backcourt, every jump, swing, and save won bursts of applause, fully showing the vigorous, united, and striving spirit of the CESD students.
After multiple rounds of fierce competition, a total of 32 winning players were produced in this tournament. Professor Liu Weilin, Vice Dean of the college, represented the college to award certificates and prizes to the winning players, and delivered a message to the students after the tournament: "Winning or losing the game is secondary. The happiest thing is that everyone can stand up from the computer, move around, and smile. I hope everyone can bring the tacit understanding, friendship, and happiness from the court back to the library, the classroom, and our common research life."
The College of Economic and Social Development will continue to carry forward Nankai's long-standing sports tradition, organize various and distinctive cultural and sports activities, create a healthy and positive campus atmosphere, and guide the master's and doctoral students of the college to integrate the fighting spirit, sense of unity, and cooperative attitude on the sports field into their daily study and life, helping the students bravely pursue their dreams and shine brightly in the big family of the college.
