From November 28 to 30, 2025, Professor Zhou Mi of our college was invited to attend the Annual Conference of the China Urban Economics Association and the China Urban Forum (2025) at Southeast University. The theme of this annual conference is "Urban Innovative Development During the 15th Five-Year Plan Period". More than 200 experts and scholars from domestic universities and scientific research institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Southeast University, Lanzhou University, and Nankai University participated in this annual event of urban economics. 

Our college is responsible for organizing and undertaking the Forum of the Professional Committee for Discipline Construction of the China Urban Economics Association. The theme of this sub-forum is "Construction of Innovation Ecosystem and Innovation Carriers", which is based on the latest spirit of the Central Urban Work Conference and the orientation of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and conducts in-depth discussions on improving the urban innovation ecosystem and building a modern urban system. Professor Zhou Mi gave a speech on the theme of "Accelerating Urban Industrial Upgrading through the Integration of Digital and Real Economies", which was highly praised by the participating scholars. This conference is an important academic activity in the field of urban economics. As an important member unit of the Professional Committee for Discipline Construction, our college actively participates in the construction of the urban economics discipline. This is of great significance for better promoting the development and innovation of the urban economics discipline in the new era and enhancing the influence of Nankai University's urban economics discipline in the country.
