Recently, a delegation led by Dang Yongqiang, Deputy Director of Hebei Provincial Department of Transportation and Director of Hebei Provincial Port and Shipping Development Center, visited the Modern Logistics Research Center of our institute for exchange. Professor Liu Binglian, Dean of the CESD, and Associate Professor Liu Jun participated in the exchange activity.

Professor Liu Binglian introduced the development of the college in serving the major strategy of the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, building a high-end think tank, constructing the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei big data platform, and the development of the logistics discipline in recent years. Associate Professor Liu Jun from the Modern Logistics Research Center focused on introducing the application and social impact of the series of think tank achievements of the *China Modern Logistics Development Report*, as well as the progress of Nankai Logistics in serving Tianjin, promoting the integration of port, industry and city, the integration of port and shipping industry, and the development of multimodal transport.

Deputy Director Dang Yongqiang of Hebei Provincial Department of Transportation pointed out that the Modern Logistics Center of Nankai University is a well-known academic highland in the country, and the Nankai logistics research team has achieved remarkable research results in serving the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the integration of port, industry and city, and multimodal transport. Hebei Provincial Department of Transportation and the transportation economy and logistics team of Nankai University have carried out cooperative research as early as more than 30 years ago, with fruitful results. In the future, it is necessary to strengthen long-term cooperation with Nankai University in scientific research, talent training, and providing advice and suggestions, so as to jointly promote the quality improvement, efficiency enhancement, and upgrading of the transportation and logistics industry.
