On January 23, a signing ceremony for the cooperation agreement between Nankai University and Chongqing Gaund Holding Group was held at Nankai University. Liang Qi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nankai University, and Peng Jianhu, Chairman of the Board of Chongqing Gaund Holding Group, attended the ceremony. Liu Binglian, Dean of the college of Economics and Social Development at Nankai University, and Ye Hua, President of Chongqing Gaund Holding Group, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective parties.
Chongqing Gaund Holding Group is a well-known enterprise with the luxury cruise industry as its core business and operations spanning the globe. The Group has consistently adhered to the principles of “responsibility, safety, and stability,” and has actively explored ways to contribute to economic and social development through corporate initiatives. This cooperation originates from the shared ideals and aspirations of both parties. According to the agreement, the two sides will jointly establish the “Nankai University–Gaund National Development and Reform Research Center.” Relying on the long-standing experience of the College of Economics and Social Development of Nankai University in serving society, the platform aims to fully integrate Nankai University’s disciplinary resources and research strengths, deeply combine Nankai’s academic expertise with Gaund’s industrial practice capabilities, and produce research outcomes with significant influence. The Center seeks to build an important think tank and advisory body to support national economic development.
