Symposium on the 15th Five-Year Plan for Tianjin’s Postal Industry Development Held at CESD

On May 11, 2026, a special symposium on the 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Tianjin’s Postal and Express Delivery Industry was held at the College of Economic and Social Development (CESD), Nankai University. The meeting was organized by the Tianjin Postal Administration.

Wang Dong, Director of the Tianjin Postal Administration, and Pang Guanxin, Deputy Director, attended the meeting. Senior executives from the Tianjin headquarters of ten leading postal and express delivery enterprises also participated. Representatives from the College of Economic and Social Development included Professor Liu Binglian, Professor Xiao Jianhua, Mr. Jiao Zhilun, and Ms. Wu Xiaofan.

The symposium was chaired by Deputy Director Pang Guanxin. During the meeting, Jiao Zhilun, representing the research team of the Modern Logistics Research Center, presented an overview of the preparation and development of the 15th Five-Year Plan for Tianjin’s Postal Industry Development.

Representatives from major postal and express delivery companies, including China Post, SF Express, JD Logistics, and YTO Express, engaged in in-depth discussions on the contents of the plan and key issues affecting the future development of the industry. Director Wang Dong and Professor Liu Binglian provided detailed guidance and recommendations on several strategic priorities and policy initiatives.

In recent years, the Modern Logistics Research Center of Nankai University has actively contributed to policy research and think tank services. The Center has undertaken a series of research projects commissioned by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the People’s Government of Tianjin, and leading logistics enterprises, providing valuable intellectual support for industry development and public policy formulation.
