Recently, the College of Economic and Social Development (CESD) invited Jiao Baochen, Deputy Director of Nankai University’s Office of Cyberspace Affairs and Big Data Management Center, to deliver a special lecture titled “Nankai University’s Digital Transformation in Education: Enhancing Digital Literacy and Competencies for Faculty and Students.” The event was chaired by Professor Liu Weilin, Vice Dean of CESD, and attended by all administrative staff members.

During the lecture, Mr. Jiao provided a systematic overview of the development of Nankai University’s smart campus initiative, highlighting the University’s pioneering efforts and innovative practices in advancing AI-powered education. He also introduced “AI Xiaokai,” an integrated digital portal that combines services, data, and applications while leveraging advanced AI large-model technologies to provide a unified and intelligent user experience.

Mr. Jiao further emphasized the importance of cybersecurity on campus and encouraged participants to strengthen their awareness of network security and adopt effective cybersecurity protection measures in their daily work.

The lecture was the 14th session of the CESD Administrative Management Enhancement and Innovation Training Series.
